Senior Business Analyst

2: BSA – Data Governance (Band 5.2)

Position Summary The BSA – Data Governance supports the definition and execution of the SunSpark product roadmap through research, requirements analysis, market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and feature planning. The role serves as the analytical engine that enables roadmap decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Research

- Analyze current SunSpark capabilities and identify enhancement opportunities.
- Gather feedback from market users and governance stakeholders.
- Conduct product usage and adoption analysis.

Market Analysis
- Research industry best practices and governance tool capabilities.
- Compare SunSpark features with competitor products.
- Maintain feature benchmarking repository.

Requirements Management
- Document business requirements and user needs.
- Write Epics, Features, and User Stories.
- Support backlog readiness and requirement traceability.

Roadmap Support
- Assist in maintaining quarterly roadmap plans.
- Track dependencies, assumptions, and risks.
- Produce capability assessments and impact analyses.

Governance Operations
- Support Data Governance Council activities.
- Track decisions, actions, and roadmap commitments.
- Monitor regulatory and policy changes impacting the roadmap.

Data Analysis & Reporting
- Create dashboards and KPI reports.
- Track product adoption and feature utilization.
- Provide recommendations backed by quantitative analysis.

Documentation
- Maintain roadmap documentation.
- Create presentation material for stakeholder reviews.
- Update product capability inventories and process documentation.

Required Skills

- 8-10 years of experience in Data Governance, Business Analysis, Data Management, or Product Analysis.
- Experience with requirements gathering and stakeholder interviews.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of:
- Data Catalogs




- Metadata Management
- Data Quality
- Data Governance Frameworks
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Jira and Agile delivery.
- Knowledge of Collibra, Atlan, Alation, Purview, or Informatica.
- Exposure to SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Foundation knowledge of Data Management principles.
