Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior AutoCAD Designer to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AutoCAD, excellent technical drawing skills, and the ability to independently develop accurate 2D drawings and layouts based on engineering requirements, specifications, and project standards.

The candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to prepare, review, modify, and maintain technical drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review design specifications, sketches, engineering documents, and project requirements.
- Develop accurate drawings based on engineering concepts and approved designs.
- Modify and update drawings based on design changes, site requirements, and client comments.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
- Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, tolerances, and completeness before submission.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, project managers, production teams, and other departments.
- Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control, and documentation.
- Prepare as-built drawings and incorporate site or field changes where required.
- Assist in resolving design and drafting-related technical issues.
- Maintain organized CAD files, drawing libraries, templates, and related documentation.




- Support junior designers/draftsmen and review their drawings when required.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in AutoCAD drafting/design.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, drafting standards, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, Revit, or other CAD software is an advantage.
- Experience in Event & Exhibition/ Elevation Plan/ Section Drawing/ Mood Board design.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes.
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to mentor junior CAD designers/draftsmen.
