Senior Admission Counselor

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, result-oriented, and student-focused Senior Admission Counselor with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in student admissions, counseling, student recruitment, or business development within the higher education sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience with universities, B-Schools, management institutions, PGDM/MBA institutes, or established higher education organizations and a proven track record of handling student inquiries, counseling prospective students and parents, converting qualified leads, and achieving admission/enrollment targets.

The candidate will be responsible for counseling prospective students and parents for our PGDM, MBA, and BBA programs, managing admission inquiries, conducting structured follow-ups, converting leads into applications and confirmed admissions, and ensuring a professional and positive student admission experience.

Candidates with prior experience in PGDM/MBA/BBA admissions and those who have worked with reputed universities, business schools, management institutes, or established education groups will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding PGDM, MBA, and BBA programs.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, career aspirations, interests, and educational requirements.
- Provide comprehensive information on programs, eligibility criteria, curriculum, specializations, fees, scholarships, placements, career opportunities, and admission procedures.
- Handle student and parent inquiries through calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, email, website inquiries, and other communication channels.
- Manage and follow up on leads generated through digital marketing campaigns, websites, education fairs, seminars, webinars, and other lead-generation activities.
- Convert prospective students into applications and confirmed admissions through effective counseling, engagement, and follow-up.
- Maintain consistent and timely follow-ups with students and parents throughout the admission cycle.
- Achieve individual and team admission/enrollment targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, counseling interactions, follow-ups, applications, and conversions in the CRM/admission management system.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Admissions, Academic, Finance,



and Administration teams to ensure smooth processing of applications and admissions.
- Conduct counseling sessions, presentations, webinars, open houses, campus visits, seminars, and admission events.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with prospective students, parents, education consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Stay updated on developments, trends, and competition within MBA, PGDM, BBA, management education, and the higher education sector.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on leads, follow-ups, applications, conversions, and admissions.
- Ensure a professional, transparent, ethical, and student-focused counseling experience throughout the admission process.

Educational Qualification

Mandatory:

- MBA in any specialization from a recognized university/institution.

Preferred:

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
- Additional qualifications or certifications in Counseling, Sales, Marketing, Education Management, or related fields will be an advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Admission Counseling, Student Counseling, Student Recruitment, Enrollment Management, or Business Development within the education sector.
- MBA in any specialization from a recognized university/institution is required.

- Candidates with direct experience in PGDM/MBA/BBA admissions will be given preference.
- Proven track record of lead conversion and achievement of admission/enrollment targets.
- Experience in handling high-volume student inquiries and admission conversions will be an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, persuasion, and counseling skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with both students and parents.
- Strong follow-up, relationship-management, and target-oriented approach.
- Good understanding of the higher education and management education sector.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, MS Excel, WhatsApp, email, and digital communication tools.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads, follow-ups, and admissions simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
