- Finance Location: Kolkata Employment Type: Full-Time Reporting To: Director / Management Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, reconciliations, payments and month-end closing activities for a sweets manufacturing and retail business. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting records, timely statutory filings, payment processing and effective financial controls across the factory and retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities Accounting &

- Tally Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping in Tally . Record and verify sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments. Book electricity, rent, salary, security, housekeeping, pest control and other expenses. Maintain proper ledger balances and clear provisional, suspense and debit balances. Manage year-end Tally data splitting and closing activities. Maintain proper documentation and supporting records for all accounting entries. Banking, Payments &
- Reconciliation Process vendor, creditor, salary, rent,



electricity, security and other payments as per approved SOP. Prepare creditor lists and payment proposals for management approval. Reconcile debtors, creditors, bank accounts and other ledgers. Reconcile credit-card settlements and online-platform collections such as Swiggy/Zomato. Monitor daily cash and ensure proper cash accounting. Update creditor payment records and maintain payment documentation. Sales &
- Purchase Reconciliation Reconcile Tally sales with Dataman/ERP sales figures. Track cash sales, credit sales and pending sales. Reconcile daily purchases with challans, ERP records, photographs/supporting documents and relevant registers. Identify discrepancies in purchases, sales, stock and payments and report them to management.

Statutory Compliance

Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B . Handle TDS calculation, payment and quarterly returns . Handle PF, ESIC and Qualified Tax calculations, payments and returns. Monitor statutory due dates and ensure timely compliance.

Coordinate Trade

License renewal and other applicable statutory requirements.
