About the Role

We are looking for a SDET with strong Manual Testing fundamentals and hands-on experience in Playwright Automation.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the testing lifecycle from understanding requirements and designing test scenarios to executing manual tests, identifying defects and developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.

You will work closely with developers, business analysts, product teams and other QA professionals in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

- - 2 to 4 years of experience in Software Testing
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
- Practical experience in Playwright Automation with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.




- Experience with cross-browser testing.
- Understanding of API testing, REST APIs, JSON, and backend validation.
- Basic to good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Good understanding of defect life cycle and test management processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Playwright Test and automation framework design.
- Exposure to Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation components.
- Experience with parallel test execution and test reporting.
- Exposure to Docker or cloud-based testing environments.
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to AI/ML-based applications or NLP platforms will be an added advantage.
- Experience with other automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

- - Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand testing needs.
- Design and execute test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop, maintain,



and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Automate critical and repetitive test scenarios while identifying opportunities for improving automation coverage.
- Perform cross-browser testing and validate application behavior across supported environments.
- Execute automated tests in parallel and contribute to improving test execution efficiency.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using appropriate defect management tools.
- Perform API testing and validate REST APIs, JSON responses, and backend validations.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to investigate issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain automation scripts, test documentation, and relevant QA artifacts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing practices.
- Support CI/CD-based test execution and contribute to integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines.
