Role: SDR 3 / Tech Lead (Solid Startup Background)

Location: Gurugram

Budget: 60-70 LPA

We’re looking for someone who still enjoys writing code but has also developed the judgment to decide what should be built, how it should be built, and where not to over-engineer.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll work closely with the product and engineering team, own some of the hardest technical problems we have, and help build the engineering organization as we scale.

What you’ll actually be doing

- Make the big technical calls - architecture, system design, APIs, databases, scalability, reliability and security and be accountable for those decisions.
- Stay close to the code. This isn’t a role where you stop coding and start managing Jira tickets.
- Pick up technically messy or business-critical problems and drive them to production.
- Work with engineers on design, code reviews, debugging and technical decisions, while raising the overall engineering bar.
- Take projects from a fairly fuzzy requirement to something running reliably in production — figuring out the gaps along the way.
- Build engineering practices where they’re actually needed instead of importing a bunch of enterprise processes because “that’s how it’s done.”
- Work across the stack when the problem demands it.



You don’t need to be the best frontend and backend engineer in the room, but you should be able to reason about both.
- Work directly with product and business stakeholders, push back when required, and translate business problems into sensible technical solutions.
- Deal comfortably with ambiguity. At a startup, the problem statement is often incomplete, the requirements change, and sometimes nobody has figured out the answer yet.

What we’re looking for

- 6–8 years of strong software engineering experience.
- At least 4 years in a technical leadership role or having substantial ownership of engineering teams/products.
- Strong fundamentals in DSA, OOP, databases, APIs, distributed systems and system design.
- A track record of actually building and shipping production software, not just designing it on paper.
- Experience making architecture and technology decisions for a product, platform or sizeable engineering initiative.
- Comfortable working across the backend and frontend and understanding how the pieces fit together.
- Good instincts around performance, reliability, testing, security and maintainability.
- Someone engineers naturally come to when they’re stuck — not because you have every answer, but because you know how to find one.
- Clear communication. You should be able to explain
