Studio Underground is a film and media production company empanelled with the National Film Development Corporation and multiple DIPR departments across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.

We specialize in producing impactful documentaries, ad films, public awareness campaigns, branded content, and large-scale communication films for government departments, institutions, and corporate clients.

We are looking for a creative and research-oriented Script Writer who can transform ideas, concepts, and factual information into compelling narratives that engage, inform, and create impact.

Position Overview The Script Writer will be responsible for creating impactful scripts for documentaries, government films, advertising campaigns, TV spots, awareness campaigns, and digital content .

The ideal candidate should have strong Hindi writing skills, a good understanding of storytelling, and awareness of current affairs, social issues, government initiatives, public communication, and audience engagement .

Responsibilities

1. Script Development & Storytelling

- Write compelling scripts for documentaries, government films, ad films, awareness campaigns, TV spots, and branded content.

- Develop original concepts and storytelling approaches based on project objectives.

- Transform raw ideas, factual inputs, and briefs into structured and engaging narratives.

- Create voice-over scripts, dialogue-based scripts, concept notes, and campaign content.

- Adapt writing style and tone according to the subject, audience, and communication Requirements.

2. Research & Content Development

- Conduct research on current affairs, government initiatives, social issues, schemes, and project-specific topics.





- Understand and simplify complex information into explicit, engaging, and audience-friendly content.

- Verify facts, data, and references to ensure accuracy and credibility.

- Develop content that aligns with the communication objectives and target audience.

- Stay updated with relevant social, cultural, and media trends to bring fresh perspectives to storytelling.

3. Collaboration & Project Coordination

- Work closely with directors, producers, creative teams, and clients to understand project Requirements.

- Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to scripts.

- Coordinate with the production team to ensure the script is practical and suitable for execution.

- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and film projects.

4. Content for Digital & Social Media

- Develop short-form scripts and creative content for social media, reels, digital campaigns, and awareness videos.

- Adapt long-form concepts into concise and engaging digital formats.

- Create content that communicates key messages effectively within limited time durations.

Requirements Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Literature, Film Studies, or a related field (preferred).

- 1–3 years of experience in script writing, content writing, creative writing,



journalism, or media writing.

- Candidates with relevant writing experience and a strong portfolio may also be considered.

Required Skills

- Strong command of Hindi writing (mandatory).

- Good command of English for research, references, and content understanding.

- Excellent storytelling and narrative-building skills.

- Strong research and analytical abilities.

- Creative conceptual thinking and idea development.

- Ability to simplify complex subjects into clear and engaging scripts.
