To manage and optimize the complete supply chain function of the organization, ensuring smooth and timely flow of materials from suppliers to stores, production and customers. The SCM Head will be responsible for material planning, inventory management, procurement coordination, logistics, vendor coordination and ensuring uninterrupted production with optimum inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities1. Supply Chain Planning

- Develop and manage the overall supply chain plan based on production and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure timely availability of materials, components and consumables.
- Identify potential material shortages and take preventive actions.
- Ensure smooth flow of materials throughout the organization.

1. Material Requirement Planning

- Review production plans, BOMs, stock levels and material requirements.
- Prepare and monitor Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Coordinate with Purchase for timely procurement of required materials.
- Monitor critical and long-lead-time materials.
- Maintain optimum stock levels and avoid excess or shortage of materials.

1. Inventory Management

- Monitor raw material, WIP, finished goods, consumables and spare inventory.
- Ensure proper inventory control and stock accuracy.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving and excess inventory.
- Conduct regular stock reviews and coordinate with Stores for stock reconciliation.
- Implement inventory reduction and optimization initiatives.

1. Purchase & Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for procurement requirements.
- Monitor purchase orders and vendor delivery commitments.
- Follow up for delayed and critical materials.
- Support vendor development and alternate sourcing initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve supply, quality and delivery issues.

1. Stores & Warehouse Management

- Ensure productive management of Stores and warehouse activities.




- Ensure proper material receiving, identification, storage and issue processes.
- Ensure proper documentation for material movement.
- Maintain FIFO/appropriate inventory practices wherever applicable.
- Improve space utilization and material handling practices.
- Ensure proper control of inward and outward material.

1. Production Coordination

- Coordinate closely with Production and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Ensure materials are available as per production schedules.
- Monitor line stoppages or production delays caused by material shortages.
- Take immediate corrective action for critical material issues.
- Coordinate priority requirements with Purchase and Stores.

1. Logistics & Dispatch

- Plan and monitor inward and outward logistics.
- Coordinate with transporters for timely movement of materials and finished goods.
- Monitor dispatch schedules according to customer requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation for material dispatch.
- Control transportation costs and improve logistics efficiency.

1. Job Work / Outsourcing Coordination

- Coordinate the supply chain requirements for outsourced processes such as Fabrication, Powder Coating and other job work.
- Monitor material sent to external vendors and ensure timely return.
- Track quantities dispatched, processed and received.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production and vendors for smooth job-work operations.
- Ensure proper job-work documentation and reconciliation.

1. Cost Optimization

- Identify opportunities to reduce supply chain, inventory, transportation and material handling costs.




- Improve purchasing and logistics efficiency through proper planning.
- Reduce emergency purchases and premium freight through effective planning.
- Develop and implement supply chain cost-saving initiatives.

1. MIS & Reporting

- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly SCM reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and material availability.
- Prepare shortage, pending PO, supplier delivery and logistics reports.
- Track supply chain KPIs and present performance reports to management.
- Maintain accurate SCM records and documentation.

1. Team Management

- Lead and manage the SCM, Stores, Logistics and related teams.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Train and develop team members.
- Ensure proper coordination between Purchase, Stores, Planning, Production and Dispatch.
- Establish clear processes and accountability within the SCM function.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Commerce or a related field.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Materials Management will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 5–15 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain / Materials / Stores / Planning / Logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Experience in fabrication, sheet metal, powder coating, engineering components, job work and industrial manufacturing will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per year
