Role Description The SAT English Mentor is responsible for guiding students through SAT Reading and Writing preparation in a part-time, remote role. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering live online sessions, explaining core SAT English concepts, and modeling effective test-taking strategies. The mentor will assess student performance through practice tests and assignments, provide individualized feedback, and adjust lesson plans based on learner needs.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of student progress, communicating with caregivers when needed,



and collaborating with the academic team to refine materials and teaching methods. The role requires consistent availability during agreed time slots and a commitment to creating an engaging, supportive learning environment for school-age learners.

Qualifications

- Robust SAT English expertise, including evidence-based reading, grammar, vocabulary, and test-taking strategies.
- Demonstrated teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience with middle or high school learners in English or test prep.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills in online, interactive settings.
- Ability to design and adapt lesson plans, evaluate student work, and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Comfort with digital teaching tools, learning platforms, and basic productivity software.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred; strong SAT scores in English sections are an advantage.
- Reliable internet connection, suitable remote working environment, and ability to work flexible part-time hours.
