Role Purpose

nThe Senior SuccessFactors Functional Consultant – Employee Central Payroll is responsible for the end‑to‑end functional design, implementation, and operational enablement of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solutions across multiple geographies and payrolls.

nThe role combines deep payroll domain expertise, strong SuccessFactors ECP functional capability, and consulting‑grade problem‑solving to deliver compliant, scalable, and supportable payroll solutions aligned to business and regulatory requirements.

nKey Responsibilities

nSolution Design & Architecture

n• Lead functional solution design for Employee Central Payroll (ECP), ensuring alignment across Employee Central, Payroll Control Center (PCC), Compensation, Finance integrations, and downstream reporting.

n• Design and validate end‑to‑end hire‑to‑retire and pay‑to‑report processes, including:

no Master data replication (EC → ECP)

no Pay structures and wage types

no Retroactivity, off‑cycle payroll, and corrections

no Payroll periods, calendars, and control frameworks

n• Translate complex statutory and country‑specific payroll requirements into ECP configuration and design patterns.

nMulti‑Location & Global Payroll Implementations

n• Deliver multi‑country / multi‑location payroll implementations, managing both local statutory needs and global template consistency.

n• Support payrolls across diverse regulatory environments (Australia), including variations in:

no Taxation and statutory reporting

no Social contributions

no Pay frequencies and calendars

no Leave, accruals, and deductions

n• Partner with local payroll SMEs to validate design and ensure compliance.

nConfiguration & Functional Build

n• Configure and support:

no Payroll schemas and rules

no Wage types and pay components (including integration with EC and Compensation)

no Payroll Control Center (PCC) monitoring, alerts, and processes

no Retro and simulation processing

n• Ensure robust auditability, controls, and reconciliation capability in payroll design.





nIntegration & Data Flow

n• Work closely with technical teams on integration design and validation, including:

no EC ↔ ECP data replication

no Finance / GL integration requirements

no Data reconciliation and error handling

n• Define functional requirements for ABAP, middleware, and reporting solutions and validate outcomes against business intent.

nDelivery, Testing & Cutover

n• Lead or support:

no Functional specification development

no Integration, UAT, and parallel payroll testing

no Payroll reconciliation and sign‑off

no Cutover planning and production readiness

n• Provide hands‑on support during hypercare and initial payroll cycles to ensure stability and confidence.

nPayroll Operations & BAU Enablement

n• Bring strong payroll operations knowledge to ensure solutions are practical and supportable post‑go‑live.

n• Support the design of:

no BAU operating models

no Payroll calendars and run books

no Incident management and escalation models

n• Coach client payroll and support teams to build internal capability.

nConsulting & Stakeholder Engagement

n• Act as a trusted payroll and SuccessFactors advisor to HR, Payroll, Finance, and Technology stakeholders.

n• Lead workshops, design sessions, and decision forums.

n• Identify risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs; propose clear, defensible recommendations.

nRequired Skills & Experience

nCore Experience

n• 8+ years experience in SAP payroll and/or SuccessFactor s, including deep hands‑on ECP experience.

n• Proven track record delivering multiple end‑to‑end ECP implementations, preferably at enterprise scale.

n• Strong experience with multi‑location / multi‑country payroll deployments (Australia, India, Philippines, Recent Zealand).

n• Demonstrated capability across solution design, build, testing, cutover, and support phases.

nPayroll Domain Expertise

n• Strong understanding of:

no Payroll processing cycles and controls

no Statutory compliance and reporting

no Retroactivity and payroll corrections

no Payroll reconciliation and audit requirements
