SAP GRC, IAS & IPS Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP GRC, IAS & IPS Consultant with solid expertise in SAP security, identity and access management, governance, risk and compliance, and SAP cloud identity services.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, integrating, and supporting SAP GRC Access Control, SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS), and SAP Identity Provisioning Service (IPS) across SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

SAP GRC

- Design, configure, implement, and support SAP GRC Access Control solutions.
- Configure and maintain GRC modules including:
- Access Risk Analysis (ARA)
- Access Request Management (ARM)
- Business Role Management (BRM)
- Emergency Access Management (EAM / Firefighter)
- Access Certification / User Access Review
- Configure and maintain SoD (Segregation of Duties) rules, risk definitions, functions, and mitigating controls.
- Configure workflows for access requests, approvals, role provisioning, and firefighter access.
- Perform user and role risk analysis and resolve authorization conflicts.
- Configure connectors between GRC and SAP/non-SAP systems.
- Support role design, role remediation, and access governance processes.
- Troubleshoot GRC workflow, synchronization, connector, and provisioning issues.
- Support GRC upgrades, enhancements, testing, and production support.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, and test scenarios.





SAP IAS – Identity Authentication Service
- Configure and administer SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS).
- Configure authentication and identity-management scenarios for SAP cloud applications.
- Configure SSO and authentication flows using standards such as SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect/OAuth, as applicable.
- Configure trust relationships between IAS and SAP/non-SAP applications.
- Support user authentication, federation, and identity-provider configurations.
- Configure corporate identity-provider integration where required.
- Troubleshoot authentication, SSO, certificate, and federation-related issues.
- Support integration of IAS with SAP BTP and SuccessFactors/SAP cloud applications.

SAP IPS – Identity Provisioning Service
- Configure and administer SAP Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).
- Design and maintain source and target systems for identity provisioning.
- Configure provisioning jobs, transformations, filters, and mappings.
- Integrate IPS with SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Support user and group provisioning across cloud applications.
- Configure identity synchronization between systems such as SuccessFactors, IAS, SAP BTP, and other target applications.




- Monitor provisioning jobs and troubleshoot failed or inconsistent synchronization.
- Develop and maintain transformation logic and provisioning configurations.

Integration & Security
- Work on integration between SAP GRC, IAS, IPS, SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, and other SAP cloud applications.
- Support end-to-end identity lifecycle management.
- Implement SSO, authentication, authorization, and user-provisioning solutions.
- Work with security teams on certificates, trust configuration, authentication mechanisms, and secure integrations.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot integration and authentication issues.
- Ensure security configurations follow SAP best practices and organizational policies.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP GRC Access Control.
- Experience with SAP IAS and IPS administration/configuration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Security and authorization concepts.
- Experience with SAML 2.0, SSO, OAuth/OpenID Connect, and identity federation.
- Experience configuring GRC connectors and integration with SAP systems.
- Strong understanding of SoD, risk analysis, access requests, role management, and Firefighter.
- Experience with identity provisioning and user lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP security and identity services.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
