Role Overview

As an ABAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality custom objects across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA (On-Premise & Public Cloud), and modern ABAP Cloud environments. You will play a key role in building modern extensions following Clean Core principles and developing robust interfaces using OData, RAP, and CDS views.

Key Responsibilities

- Core Technical Development: Design and develop custom solutions using classic and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP), ALV reporting, Data Dictionary objects, and Open SQL.
- Enhancements & Customizations: Implement RICEF objects, User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements. Perform end-to-end debugging and issue resolution.
- Forms & Interfaces: Create and maintain Smart Forms and Adobe Forms. Develop and optimize BAPIs, RFCs, and Function Modules.
- S/4HANA & ABAP Cloud Development: Build Core Data Services (CDS) Views, OData services, and REST APIs. Leverage the RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) for cloud-ready development.
- Extensibility & Clean Core: Develop using SAP Public Cloud extensibility standards, Custom Business Objects (CBOs), Custom Fields & Logic, and Cloud BAdIs while adhering strictly to Clean Core practices.
- System Integration: Work with released APIs, released CDS views, and establish Communication Arrangements for seamless SAP and non-SAP integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with functional consultants (SD, MM, FI, PP)



to understand business requirements, prepare technical design specifications, and execute unit testing.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience: 3 to 4 years of dedicated hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Core ABAP: Solid proficiency in OO ABAP, ALV Reports, ABAP Dictionary, Open SQL, and debugging tools.
- Enhance & Extend: Proven track record in RICEF objects, BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancements.
- Interface & Forms: Hands-on experience with BAPIs, RFCs, Function Modules, and Adobe Forms / Smart Forms.
- Modern Development: Strong experience with CDS Views, OData Services, REST APIs, and the RAP Framework.
- SAP Platforms: Practical exposure to SAP S/4HANA, ECC, S/4HANA Public Cloud, and ABAP Cloud environments.
- Cloud Architecture: Deep understanding of Custom Business Objects, Cloud BAdIs, SAP Public Cloud extensibility, and Clean Core development principles.
- Communication & APIs: Experience working with released APIs/CDS views and Communication Arrangements/Scenarios.
- Functional Awareness: Basic functional understanding of key SAP business processes across SD, MM, FI, or PP.

Good to Have (Nice to Have)

- Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and Integration Suite (CPI).
- Hands-on knowledge of ADT (ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse) and Fiori Elements.
- Prior experience with third-party external system integrations using OData/REST APIs.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
