About the Role-
- We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager to lead our PAN-India sales team for scientific and analytical laboratory instruments.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning, guiding and monitoring the sales team, achieving consolidated sales targets, developing key customers, handling important enquiries independently and driving business growth across India.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of industrial laboratory applications and established contacts in industries such as Thermal Power, Sugar, Cement, Iron & Steel, Commercial Testing Laboratories, Essential Oils & Fragrance and other process industries.
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. PAN-India Sales Leadership
- · Lead and manage the PAN-India sales team.
- · Allocate territories, customers and targets to team members.
- · Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans.
- · Take ownership of the consolidated sales target of the entire team.
- · Develop strategies to achieve and exceed assigned targets.
2. Team Planning & Monitoring
· Review the performance and activities of the sales team on a weekly basis.
· Monitor enquiries, quotations, follow-ups, pending cases, orders and lost opportunities.
· Guide team members on strategy, customer handling and closing of important cases.
· Identify gaps in individual performance and take corrective action.
· Ensure systematic follow-up of all important enquiries and quotations.
3. Key Customer & Important Case Handling
· Personally visit and handle high-value, strategic and technically/commercially important cases.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
· Make regular PR visits to important customers, consultants, EPC companies and major industrial establishments.
· Build long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
4. Independent Sales & Negotiation
· Independently handle important enquiries from lead generation to order closure.
· Conduct commercial negotiations and close orders independently.
· Support team members in negotiations and closing difficult or high-value cases.
· Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions and commercial negotiations wherever required.
5. Industry & Market Development
· Develop new customers and markets across India.
· Strengthen business in:
o Thermal Power Plants & Chemistry Laboratories o Sugar Mills o Cement Plants o Iron & Steel Plants o Commercial / NABL Testing Laboratories o Essential Oils & Fragrance Industry o Other industrial and analytical laboratories
· Identify new applications and opportunities for the company's products.
· Develop relationships with consultants, EPC companies, laboratories, procurement teams and key industry decision-makers.
6. Sales Reporting & Review
· Maintain a clear pipeline of enquiries and opportunities.
· Submit regular sales forecasts and reports to management.
· Review territory-wise and product-wise sales performance.
· Analyse reasons for delayed or lost orders and formulate action plans.
· Ensure proper CRM / sales data maintenance by the team.
7. Coordination with Management & Other Departments
· Coordinate with Management, Technical, Application, Production and Service teams for successful order execution.
· Communicate market feedback, competitor information, customer requirements and pricing trends to management.
· Provide inputs for product development and new product opportunities based on market requirements.
Candidate Profile-
· Experience:
Preferably 8–15 years of relevant sales experience in scientific / analytical / laboratory instruments or related industrial equipment.
· Solid experience in B2B industrial sales.
· Experience dealing with Thermal Power, Sugar, Cement, Iron & Steel, Testing Laboratories or similar industries will be highly preferred.
· Should have an established network of industrial customers and decision-makers.
· Proven experience in leading and managing a sales team.
· Strong negotiation and order-closing skills.
· Should be capable of independently handling high-value sales cases.
· Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
· Should be willing to undertake extensive PAN-India travel.
· Should be commercially mature, proactive and highly target-oriented.
· Ability to understand technical products and explain their applications to customers.

Performance Expectations-
- The selected candidate will be expected to:

- This is a hands-on leadership position. The candidate should be capable of both leading the sales team and personally converting important business opportunities.
- Compensation
- Salary: Commensurate with experience and proven sales performance.
- Performance-linked incentives: Attractive incentives linked to achievement of individual and consolidated team targets.
- Salary -50 to 90 k
- Experience -10 to 15 yers
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
