Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Site Safety Engineer / EHS Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across our construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting hazard assessments, enforcing compliance with legal standards, and fostering a zero-incident safety culture.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Safety Compliance & Audits: Implement, monitor, and enforce Site Safety Plans, EHS standards, and statutory regulations. Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Hazard Assessment & Control: Prepare and review Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements prior to project activity execution.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct root cause analyses for near-misses, accidents, or environmental incidents; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA); and maintain accurate reporting.
- Permit to Work (PTW) System: Manage and enforce PTW procedures for high-risk operations, including work at heights, hot work, confined space entry, excavation, and heavy lifting.
- Training & Toolbox Talks: Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT), safety induction training for new workers/subcontractors, and specialized emergency response training.
- Equipment & PPE Management: Ensure proper usage, inspection, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), scaffolding,



cranes, heavy machinery, and electrical installations.
- Emergency Preparedness: Establish emergency response procedures, coordinate fire safety readiness, conduct evacuation drills, and oversee first-aid facilities on site.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain complete EHS documentation, daily logbook records, monthly safety metrics, and regulatory compliance reports.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Certifications: Professional certification in occupational safety such as NEBOSH IGC, ADIS (Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety), OSHA, or equivalent.
- Work Experience: 4 to 5 years of proven field experience as a Safety Engineer/EHS Officer on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.

- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of local and international safety standards (IS codes, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Solid expertise in scaffold safety, heavy lifting plans, excavation, and electrical safety hazards.
- Hands-on experience with incident investigation tools and risk mitigation models.
- Key Soft Skills: Strong communication, decision-making under pressure, crisis management, and team leadership skills to influence contractors and labor teams effectively.
