R2R Tower Leader – Record to Report Delivery

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished R2R Tower Leader to lead end-to-end Record-to-Report operations for global client engagements. This role is accountable for delivery excellence, controllership governance, financial reporting accuracy, client relationship management, operational transformation, process standardization, and team leadership within a Business Process Services setting.

The incumbent will own delivery outcomes across the R2R value chain, drive financial integrity, strengthen controls and compliance, lead large global teams, and partner with clients to deliver measurable business outcomes through transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership & Operations Management

- Lead end-to-end Record-to-Report operations across multiple global client engagements.
- Own service delivery performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs, quality, compliance, timeliness, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Drive operational excellence through robust governance, controls, standardization, and process optimization.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
- Oversee General Ledger, Journal Processing, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounting,

Reconciliations, Consolidation, and Financial Reporting processes.
- Drive continuous close and controllership excellence initiatives.
- Manage service continuity, issue resolution, and executive escalations.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as the senior point of contact for client Finance Controllers, CFO organizations, Shared Services, and Global Finance leadership teams.
- Lead governance forums, operational reviews, and executive business reviews.
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on finance transformation and controllership matters.




- Partner with client stakeholders to identify opportunities for close optimization, reporting improvements, automation, and operating model transformation.
- Support business development, solutioning, and expansion opportunities within strategic accounts.

Team Leadership

- Lead and develop large global R2R delivery teams across onshore, offshore, and nearshore locations.
- Drive talent development, capability creation, succession planning, and leadership coaching.
- Build a culture of accountability, operational rigor, customer centricity, compliance, and innovation.
- Manage workforce planning, capacity management, productivity optimization, and talent retention.
- Strengthen domain expertise across accounting, reporting, and controllership functions.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

- Drive process transformation initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Automation, AI, GenAI, and Digital Finance solutions.
- Lead initiatives focused on:

o Close Cycle Reduction o Continuous Accounting o Journal Optimization o Account Reconciliation Transformation o Financial Reporting Automation o AI-led Exception Management
- Lead transition, migration, stabilization, and transformation programs.
- Deploy global process standards, operating models, and best practices across delivery centers.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce operational risk.

Governance, Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with client accounting policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, SOX controls, and internal governance frameworks.
- Drive adherence to IFRS, US GAAP,



and other applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor operational risks, control failures, audit observations, and remediation activities.
- Strengthen financial controls, compliance frameworks, and risk management processes.
- Ensure audit readiness and support internal, statutory, and external audits.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or MBA Finance preferred.
- 15-20 years of experience in Record-to-Report Operations, Shared Services, Global Business Services, Finance Transformation, or Business Process Services.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale R2R delivery operations and global teams.
- Strong knowledge of:

o General Ledger Accounting o Journal Entry Processing o Fixed Assets Accounting o Intercompany Accounting o Balance Sheet Reconciliations o Month-End and Year-End Close o Financial Consolidation o Financial Reporting o Management Reporting o Corporate Controllership o Audit & Compliance Management
- Strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, SOX, and Internal Control Frameworks.
- Proven track record in managing senior finance stakeholders, controllers, and CFO organizations.
- Experience working within outsourced service delivery, shared services, or global finance operations environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt Certification.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, BlackLine, Trintech, OneStream, Hyperion, Workiva, or similar ERP and close management platforms.
- Experience driving Digital Finance Transformation, Intelligent Automation, and AI-led finance operations.
- Exposure to global delivery models and multi-country operations.
- Experience leading transitions, transformations, and operating model redesign initiatives.
