Robotic Engineer – Weld Shop Automation

Job Summary

We are hiring skilled Robotic Engineers for weld shop automation operations in a leading manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, programming support, and optimizing industrial robotic systems to ensure uninterrupted production and process efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience working with FANUC robots (preferred) and exposure to other industrial robotic systems such as KUKA, Yaskawa, and Panasonic used in automated welding, assembly, and manufacturing operations. Candidates with experience in automotive manufacturing environments will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial robots and automation systems in weld shop operations.
- Handle robot breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime in production lines.
- Diagnose faults related to robot controllers, teach pendants, servo drives, sensors, and communication systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of FANUC robotic systems, including robot controllers, motion systems, and welding applications.
- Support robot programming modifications, backup restoration, parameter settings, and system recovery.
- Ensure robot calibration, mastering, positioning accuracy, and cycle-time optimization.
- Coordinate with welding, maintenance, and production teams for smooth robotic operations.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities for robotic systems.
- Support robotic welding cells, automated assembly lines,



and material handling applications.
- Maintain maintenance logs, fault reports, and shift documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while handling robotic equipment.

Eligibility Criteria

- Diploma (Electrical / Mechanical) / BE (EEE / Mechanical) / B.Tech.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in robotic maintenance, preferably in weld shop automation.
- Hands-on experience in FANUC robot troubleshooting and maintenance is mandatory.
- Experience in KUKA, Yaskawa, and Panasonic robots will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of robotic programming, teach pendant operations, robot calibration, robot mastering, and automation systems.
- Exposure to welding automation, PLCs, industrial networks, and manufacturing automation environments preferred.
- Candidates willing to work in rotational shifts preferred.
