Profile – Furniture Retail Designer

Experience: 5–8 years

Salary Range-50K to 1LPA

Working Days – 6 days

Key Responsibilities

- Design retail furniture and store fixtures such as display units, wall units, gondolas, counters, cash desks, shelving, kiosks, wardrobes, and customized furniture.
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, elevations, sections, furniture details, and shop drawings.
- Develop furniture designs based on client briefs, brand guidelines, site requirements, and approved concepts.
- Prepare detailed drawings covering dimensions, materials, finishes, joinery, hardware, and construction details.
- Coordinate with the factory team to ensure designs are production-friendly and technically feasible.
- Work with different materials including plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, solid wood, metal, glass, acrylic, hardware, and specialty finishes.
- Coordinate with production, CNC, metal, procurement, project, and site teams for smooth execution.
- Review prototypes, mock-ups, and samples before bulk production.
- Resolve design and technical queries raised by the factory or site teams.




- Optimize furniture designs to achieve the required quality, cost, durability, and production efficiency.
- Incorporate client/design revisions and ensure updated drawings are issued to the concerned teams.
- Ensure final manufactured furniture matches approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in Retail Furniture / Store Fixtures / Shopfitting / Furniture Manufacturing.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Experience in furniture detailing and production/shop drawings.
- Robust understanding of furniture joinery and manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, metal, glass, acrylic, and furniture hardware.
- Knowledge of SketchUp / 3ds Max or other 3D software will be an advantage.
- Ability to coordinate directly with factory and production teams.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Candidates currently working with retail furniture manufacturers, store fixture companies, shop fitting companies, or retail interior fit-out companies will be preferred.
