Job Summary:

The individual will independently lead Pharma &

- Healthcare sector research for Valmiki Leela Capital, covering key industry segments and building in-depth knowledge of companies, business models, market trends and competitive dynamics. The role will focus on analyzing unlisted companies, conducting sector and business due diligence, and providing research-led inputs for IPO evaluation and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently manage Pharma &
- Healthcare sector coverage

, including Pharmaceuticals, APIs, Formulations, CRDMO/CDMO, CRO, Biotechnology, Hospitals, Diagnostics, Medical Devices and Healthcare Services.

- Conduct detailed industry and sector research covering market size, industry structure, growth drivers, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, pricing dynamics and sector-specific operating metrics.

- Identify and analyse unlisted, pre-IPO and growth-stage companies, evaluating their business models, product portfolio, financial performance, market positioning, competitive advantages and scalability.

- Prepare detailed company research, sector reports, industry studies, financial analysis, valuation models, peer benchmarking and management/business assessments.





- Conduct primary research and business due diligence through management interactions, industry experts, doctors, distributors, customers and other relevant market participants.

- Support IPO execution and transaction activities through industry due diligence, business analysis, peer comparison, DRHP/RHP review and preparation of sector-specific inputs and transaction materials.

- Build and continuously maintain a Pharma &

- Healthcare sector intelligence database

, tracking companies, products, regulatory developments, industry transactions, emerging trends and potential capital-market opportunities.

Critical Requirements:

- 5+ years of relevant experience in Pharma &
- Healthcare Equity Research, Industry Research, Investment Banking, Merchant Banking, Consulting or a related research function.

- Strong hands-on experience covering Pharma &

- Healthcare sectors

with the ability to independently own the complete sector.

- Solid understanding of Pharmaceuticals, APIs, Formulations, CRDMO/CDMO, CRO, Biotechnology, Hospitals, Diagnostics, Medical Devices and Healthcare Services.

- Experience analysing unlisted and pre-IPO companies will be strongly preferred.
