Role & responsibilities

- Conduct route scouting and develop synthetic routes for APIs and intermediates.

- Execute and optimize laboratory-scale chemical synthesis and processes.

- Improve yield, purity, quality, safety, cycle time and process economics.

- Conduct reaction monitoring, work-up, purification and crystallization studies.

- Identify and optimize critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs).

- Conduct process optimization and support DoE/QbD studies.

- Investigate process deviations, failures and impurity-related issues and recommend solutions.

- Support laboratory-to-pilot/plant scale-up and technology transfer.

- Provide technical support during plant trials and commercial manufacturing.

- Coordinate with Analytical R&D;, QC, QA, Production, Engineering and MSAT teams.

- Prepare experimental records,



process development reports and technical documentation.

- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, data integrity, EHS and regulatory requirements.

- Mentor junior team members and review experimental work, where applicable.

Preferred candidate profile

- M.Sc.

Organic

Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry or M.Pharm; Ph.D. preferred.

- 3-5 years experience in API/CRD/Process R&D.;

- Robust hands-on expertise in organic synthesis, process development and optimization.

- Experience in API scale-up, manufacturing support and technology transfer.

- Sound knowledge of GMP, ICH, analytical interpretation and process troubleshooting.
