About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Operations Qualified specializing in Payroll Accounting and General Ledger (GL) Closure. In this role, you will lead monthly payroll processing, payroll accounting, statutory compliance, reconciliations, and budgeting to ensure precise financial reporting, timely remittances, and strict internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Payroll Processing & Accounting: Validate monthly payroll inputs, coordinate with HR, and ensure accurate accounting for gross pay, deductions, net pay, and employer statutory contributions. Post cost-center-wise payroll entries into the General Ledger.
- Reconciliations & Schedules: Perform Gross-to-Net reconciliations monthly. Reconcile payroll registers against GL balances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain payroll schedules for monthly and year-end financial closures.
- Statutory Compliance & Remittances: Compute, account for, and ensure timely remittances of statutory dues (PF, ESI, PT, TDS on Salaries, Statutory Bonus). Prepare statutory filings and assist with audit queries.
- Final Settlements & Advances: Compute Full & Final (F&F;) settlementsincluding gratuity,



leave encashment, bonus, and recoveries. Track and manage employee advances and salary loan recoveries.
- Payroll Budgets, MIS & Audits: Assist in preparing and monitoring department-wise payroll budgets, analyze variances, generate executive MIS reports, and support internal and statutory audits.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of core experience in payroll accounting or finance operations (experience in shared services or multi-cost-center environments preferred).

- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Indian payroll statutory laws (PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, Statutory Bonus).
- Advanced MS Excel skills and hands-on experience with payroll systems / ERP (SAP experience is a plus).
- Proven capability in GL reconciliations, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and complete commitment to data confidentiality.
