About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced React Native Lead Engineer to join our esteemed client, a prominent Big 4 firm, in either Pune or Bangalore. This role involves providing technical leadership across mobile applications and backend services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and React Native, with a proven track record of leading enterprise-level projects within the banking and financial services domain.

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for translating solution architecture into detailed technical designs, guiding engineering teams, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring the successful delivery of payment requests, bill splitting, contact-based payments, and open banking journeys. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative financial technology solutions within a collaborative and dynamic environment, contributing to the development of secure and resilient systems that meet stringent industry standards.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field,



or have equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 6 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including leadership roles in enterprise delivery teams, is required. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST API development, and React Native mobile development.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and security protocols like OAuth 2.0 and JWT, is highly desirable. Knowledge of the banking and financial services industry, especially in payments, open banking, wealth management, or capital markets, will be advantageous.

Responsibilities The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable, and resilient mobile and backend solutions.

Key responsibilities include translating solution architecture into detailed technical designs, implementing microservices, REST APIs, and React Native mobile channels, and establishing coding standards and best practices. The role involves conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and ensuring engineering quality by reducing technical debt and promoting reusable patterns.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Solution Architects, Product Owners, UX designers, API engineers, testers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

The Lead





Engineer will own technical estimation, dependency management, risk assessment, release planning, and technical decision-making to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Troubleshooting complex issues across mobile, API, and backend layers, and ensuring solutions meet security, performance, and operational standards are also vital aspects of the role.

Furthermore, the candidate will contribute to Agile ceremonies, promote CI/CD adoption, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Mentoring team members, conducting design and code reviews, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence are essential components of this leadership position.
