Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Radiology Technician to support the Radiology Department in conducting diagnostic imaging procedures safely and efficiently. The candidate will be responsible for patient preparation, equipment operation, image acquisition, and maintaining radiation-safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiological imaging procedures as prescribed by the physician.
- Prepare patients for X-ray, CT, MRI, or other applicable imaging procedures based on departmental requirements.
- Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper patient positioning for accurate image acquisition.
- Verify patient identity and examination details before procedures.
- Maintain image quality and repeat examinations only when clinically necessary.
- Follow radiation-safety and infection-control protocols.
- Monitor and maintain radiology equipment and report technical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate examination records and documentation.
- Assist radiologists during procedures when required.
- Communicate appropriately with patients and explain the procedure.
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms.
Eligibility
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Radiology / Radiologic Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a hospital/radiology department preferred.
- Relevant registration/certification as applicable.
