​Job Overview

​HR Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a skilled and hands-on Quality Executive to lead quality control, physical lab testing, and inspection operations at our Sankrail unit. In this role, you will be responsible for operating laboratory testing equipment, conducting incoming/in-process/final product inspections, maintaining testing records on computers, managing quality documentation, and assisting with NABL lab filings and compliance.

​Key Responsibilities

- ​Physical Lab & Equipment Operations: Hands-on operation of laboratory equipment including Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Hardness Testers, Profile Projectors, Universal Testing Machines (UTM), and other precision measuring instruments.
- ​Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct rigorous incoming raw material inspections, in-process production checks, and pre-dispatch final quality clearances.
- ​NABL & Compliance Support: Prepare, organize, and maintain laboratory documentation, test logs, uncertainty calculations, and filing work required for NABL accreditation and audits.
- ​Lab Maintenance & Calibration: Ensure proper handling, routine maintenance, and periodic calibration of all testing instruments, gauges, and physical lab equipment.
- ​Data Management & Reporting: Maintain complete electronic and physical records of test reports,



heat treatment readings, dimensional checks, and quality certificates on the computer.
- ​Discrepancy & NCR Management: Identify quality non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with production to implement corrective actions.

​Requirements

- ​Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgy, or B.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials.
- ​Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on quality control and physical lab experience in a steel manufacturing plant or metal industry setup.
- ​Technical Expertise: Thorough practical knowledge of operating UTM, Hardness Testers, Profile Projectors, Vernier Calipers, and standard measuring tools.
- ​Preferred Qualification: Hands-on experience or working knowledge of NABL filing, lab documentation, and ISO/IEC 17025 standards is highly preferred and will be an added advantage.
- ​Computer Skills: Good proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and computer-based lab report generation.
- ​Commute: Candidate must live within a reasonable commute of Sankrail Industrial Park, Dhulagarh (711302).
