Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Quality Engineers to ensure product and process quality throughout incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, and customer requirements. The candidate will work closely with production, engineering, and customer teams to maintain quality standards and resolve quality-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials, bought-out components, and sub-components as per specifications and inspection standards.
- Perform in-house / in-process inspection at various stages of production.
- Carry out final inspection of finished components before dispatch.
- Verify components against engineering drawings, specifications, control plans, and inspection standards.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, air gauges, profile projectors, and other inspection equipment.
- Monitor critical dimensions and characteristics during production.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming products and processes.
- Coordinate with production and process teams for immediate containment and corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, NCRs, and quality records.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Handle customer quality complaints and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution.
- Coordinate with customers regarding quality issues, inspection requirements, corrective actions, and technical clarifications.
- Support preparation of 8D reports, corrective action reports, and customer responses.
- Monitor and maintain PDI / final inspection records before dispatch.
- Ensure proper identification, traceability, and segregation of accepted and rejected materials.




- Coordinate with suppliers regarding incoming material quality issues.
- Support supplier quality improvement activities when required.
- Maintain calibration status and proper usage of measuring and inspection equipment.
- Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Ensure compliance with quality procedures, control plans, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements.
- Participate in 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and quality improvement activities.

Required Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of incoming, in-process, and final inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and dimensional inspection.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of 7 QC tools, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan, and CAPA.
- Knowledge of NCR, 8D, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Valuable understanding of automotive component manufacturing processes.
- Good communication and customer coordination skills.
- Ability to analyze quality problems and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.

Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in quality inspection.
- Experience in automotive component manufacturing preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in in-house inspection, incoming inspection, and final inspection will be preferred.
- Experience in customer quality coordination and handling customer complaints will be an added advantage.
