Role & responsibilities

- Ensure execution of Quality Assurance Jindal steel Raipur.
- To ensure and carry out execution of TPM activities of quality pillar.
- Ensure timely renewal of following shop certification ASME, IBR, PESO (Cryogenic & Non-cryogenic), CE.EIL.
- Implementation of the ASME system as per the approved manual, ensuring compliance with ASME requirements and coordination of ASME audits.
- Ensure ISO System implementation and documentation compliance.
- Inspection of all raw materials, in-process and finished products
- Responsible for preparation of QAP /Inspection Test Plan and coordination with other deptt.
- Coordinating with external vendors & internal inspectors regarding inspection of equipment's.
- To coordinate inspection related activities with production department to ensure smooth functioning of production activities.
- To Manage the Inspection of Fabrication and Machined equipment & to Maintain all Quality Records
- Review and acceptance of material Technical Delivery condition (TDC ) to ensure compliance material and project Specification .
- Review of Weld Plan , WPS ,PQR ,WPQ and ensure compliance as per relevant Code /Standard
- To Manage the in process and final Inspection of assembly for internal and external locations & to maintain all Quality Records.
- Responsible for execution of Raw material inspection, Fit up inspection, stage wise inspection, final dimensional inspection, NDT (as & when required), inspection at machine shop & assembly and slag blasting and painting.
- STAGES OF INSPECTION

a)



Raw material inspection (Dimensional, Rust Grade, surface finish) b) NDT of Raw material(Ultrasonic Testing)

c) Raw-material Cutting (Dimensional, Edge Preparation, Heat No. Transfer)

d) NDT (Magnetic Particle testing, Penetrant testing)

e) Fit-up inspection (Dimensional)

f) After welding ( Dimensional, Visual, UT, MPT, PT) both before and after Stress reliving g) Review the SR graphs h) Shot blasting & primer paint (Rust grade, surface profile & roughness, DFT of Primer)

i) Machining Dimensional inspection j) Environmental Condition check ( Dew point, surface & air temperature, Humidity etc.)

k) Painting (DFT & Cross cut)

l) Identification No. check m) Hydro Testing n) Final verification as per BOM o) Final compilation of complete document dossier.

All the above stages are offered to TPI/Customer for inspection as and when required.

- Coordination with 3rd party inspectors / customers.
- Closer of NCR along with Root Cause Analysis, Cost of Poor Quality , maintain NCR and Customer complaints record .
- Vendor Assessment of New Vendors, and performance evaluations of existing vendors.
- Create a disciplined, healthy and safe working setting for plant personnel.
- Ensure compliance of Group's Code of Conduct at all levels.
