Role Overview

We're currently seeking talented Software Process Engineer to be part of Process Engineering Group in our Smart Technology Center in Trivandrum. You will be part of PEG, responsible for defining, implementing, and improving software engineering processes within the organization.

You will work closely with development teams to ensure that processes are adhered to and are continuously improved for efficiency and quality.

What We Are Looking for:

Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve software engineering processes, procedures, templates, and related documentation.
- Tailor organizational processes and standards to meet project / Domain / Customer-specific requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards.
- Guide and mentor project teams on process implementation, compliance requirements, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote organizational learning by capturing lessons learned, best practices,



and project experiences, and incorporating them into process improvements.
- Support Project Managers and delivery teams in project planning activities, including process planning, quality assurance activities, milestone reviews, and risk identification.
- Facilitate and coordinate internal and external process audits, assessments, and compliance reviews, ensuring timely closure of findings and action items.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and quality teams to ensure effective deployment and adherence to defined software development processes.
- Analyse existing processes, metrics, and performance data to identify improvement opportunities and drive process efficiency, product quality, and operational excellence.
- Conduct data analysis, trend analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to address process deviations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to project teams to enhance process awareness, adoption, and compliance.
- Monitor process performance through key metrics and quality indicators and implement corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
- Support ensuring adherence to organizational standard requirements like - Quality Management System (QMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS), Environmental Management System, Artificial Intelligence Management System, Occupational health and safety management system (relevant standards based on business requirements) and customer-specific requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, organizational assessments,



and continuous improvement programs to strengthen delivery excellence and process maturity.
- Ensure that project artifacts, process records, and compliance evidence are maintained accurately and are readily available for reviews and audits.

Experience:

- 2-5 years of proven experience in Software Process Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, Process Compliance, or related domains within software development environments.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, quality standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), and continuous improvement practices, with experience in driving process excellence and compliance initiatives
- Proven experience in defining, tailoring, implementing, and maintaining software development processes and lifecycle methodologies, with hands-on experience in process governance, compliance monitoring, and supporting software projects throughout the development lifecycle
- Experience in process performance measurement, configuration management, risk management, metrics analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and corrective/preventive action management.
- Experience in conducting and supporting internal/external audits, assessments, and compliance activities.
- Ability to train, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process adherence and delivery excellence.

- Good communication skills to be able to present the process to the teams and to encourage individual team members to provide feedback to improve the process

Knowledge areas:

- Quality Management System, Process Audit, RCA
- Knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 27001, CMMI
- Valuable to have knowledge on ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 42001

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or engineering, BCA/MCA
- Interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies
