Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Saturday - 9AM to 6PM)

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month* (Salary will depend on the candidate's relevant experience, technical knowledge, practical skills, and performance during the selection process).

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that manufactured mechanical components meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, dimensional requirements, and applicable quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for quality inspection, process monitoring, root-cause analysis, documentation, and coordination with production and engineering teams to prevent defects and continuously improve manufacturing quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished mechanical parts.
- Verify components against engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspections using instruments such as:
- Vernier calipers
- Micrometers
- Height gauges
- Bore gauges
- Thread gauges
- Dial indicators
- CMM and other inspection equipment, where applicable
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, check sheets, and inspection plans.
- Monitor production processes and identify potential quality issues at an early stage.
- Identify, document, and control non-conforming products.




- Conduct root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and 8D.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and other quality activities where applicable.
- Monitor process capability and quality trends using SPC and statistical analysis.
- Assist in calibration and control of measuring and testing equipment.
- Conduct supplier/incoming inspection and support supplier quality improvement activities.
- Participate in internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ISO 9001 and company quality-management procedures.
- Investigate customer complaints and support timely corrective actions.
- Work with production teams to reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
- Maintain proper traceability and documentation of inspected parts.
- Promote a strong quality-at-source and continuous-improvement culture on the shop floor.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance/control in a mechanical or automotive/component manufacturing environment.




- Positive knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, and inspection methods.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of machining processes such as CNC turning, milling, grinding, drilling, and related manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Pareto, Fishbone, SPC, MSA, and CAPA.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation systems.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with CNC-machined, turned, forged, cast, fabricated, or precision mechanical components.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Experience with CMM inspection and basic metrology.
- Knowledge of PPAP/APQP/FMEA/Control Plans.
- Experience handling customer and supplier quality issues.
- Familiarity with ERP/QMS software.
- Knowledge of basic statistical methods and process capability (Cp/Cpk).
