Senior QC Chemist – Chemical Manufacturing & Trading

Experience: 5–10 years

Qualification: M.Sc./B.Sc. in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry

Ideal candidate: A hands-on Senior QC Chemist capable of independently managing the QC laboratory, with strong expertise in GC analysis, method development/validation and analytical troubleshooting.

Job Purpose To manage day-to-day QC laboratory operations and ensure reliable, timely and compliant testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products for chemical manufacturing and trading activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage routine QC testing and laboratory operations for raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.
- Solid hands-on expertise in GC, HPLC, UV-Vis and wet chemical analysis.
- Develop, optimize, troubleshoot and validate GC analytical methods.
- Prepare and maintain GC method files, analytical procedures, specifications and system suitability requirements.
- Execute and document method validation/verification, including specificity, accuracy, precision, linearity, range, robustness and LOD/LOQ where applicable.
- Review chromatograms, analytical data, calculations and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Manage GC instrument qualification, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting.




- Investigate OOS/OOT results, deviations and analytical failures and recommend appropriate CAPA.
- Prepare and review SOPs, test methods, specifications, worksheets and laboratory records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP/GLP, safety and data-integrity requirements.
- Establish and maintain laboratory standards, reagents, reference materials and consumables.
- Train and supervise QC chemists/analysts and ensure proper laboratory practices.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, procurement and commercial teams on product quality and specifications.
- Support customer complaints, supplier evaluations, product development and technical queries.
- Ensure QC laboratory readiness for internal, customer and regulatory audits.

Preferred Background

Experience in chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, industrial chemicals, solvents, intermediates or chemical trading will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
