Position: QA/QC Electrical Engineer – Power Projects
Type: Full-time | Reports To: QA/QC Manager / Lead Engineer
Job Summary The QA/QC Electrical Engineer ensures all electrical installations—including substations, switchgear, cabling, transformers, and earthing systems—comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and international engineering standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).
Key Responsibilities
- Field Inspections: Execute Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and conduct Material Receiving Inspections (MRIs) for electrical equipment and components.
- Site Testing: Witness and sign off on testing (megger/insulation, hi-pot, grounding resistance, relay calibration, pre-commissioning checks).
- Quality Compliance: Identify non-conformances, issue and manage NCRs, perform root-cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.
- Documentation:
Review contractor method statements and shop drawings; compile test packages and turnover documentation for client handover.
- Audits: Conduct site quality audits and coordinate inspections with client representatives and consultants.
Key Requirements
- Education: B.Sc. / B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 1–5+ years of QA/QC experience in high-voltage power projects, substations, or power generation.
- Standards: Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC codes, and ISO 9001 systems.
- Certifications: ISO 9001 Auditor or PE/CEng license preferred.
Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹480,000.00 per year
