QA Automation Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in functional and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Playwright, Java/Python, API testing, SQL, CI/CD, and modern AI-assisted testing practices.
The role involves designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, improving regression coverage, validating end-to-end application functionality, and collaborating closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners in an Agile environment.
Required Skills & Experience
QA & Testing
- 5 to 8 years of experience in QA Automation and Functional Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Hands-on experience in Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT testing.
- Solid experience with API testing and automation, preferably using Rest Assured.
- Good understanding of test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting.
Test Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.
- Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks.
- Experience building reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation utilities.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Programming
- Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Database & Backend Testing
- Strong SQL skills.
AI-Assisted Testing
- Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI tools for software testing and automation.
- Understanding of AI-assisted testing practices and prompt engineering.
