Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technical Mid-Level Software QA Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our web applications across both frontend and backend layers.

You will design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Python and Playwright, conduct deep-dive root-cause analysis by inspecting log files, and work closely with developers to ensure seamless software releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Automation Framework Development: Design, write, and maintain scalable, reliable automated test scripts for web applications using Python and Playwright.
- Full-Stack Quality Assurance: Perform end-to-end automated and manual testing across both frontend (UI/UX) and backend (REST APIs, microservices) layers.
- Root Cause & Log Analysis: Inspect system, application, and server log files to diagnose test failures, isolate bugs, and provide detailed, actionable technical reports to developers.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated regression testing on every build.
- Defect Management: Track, prioritize, and manage bugs from discovery through resolution using tools like Jira.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with software developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to define test strategies,



acceptance criteria, and quality metrics early in the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 3+ years of professional software QA automation experience in a commercial software environment.
- Programming: Solid proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
- Testing Tools: Solid hands-on experience using Playwright for web application testing (experience transitioning from Selenium/Cypress to Playwright is a strong plus).
- API & Backend Testing: Proven ability to test RESTful APIs with mocks and using tools like Python libraries, Postman, or similar frameworks.
- Technical Debugging: Demonstrated capability to read, parse, and analyze log files (e.g., application server logs, console logs, system logs) to pinpoint issues quickly.
- Version Control: Comfortable using Git for code management, branching, and pull requests.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with standard tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.

Preferred / "Nice-to-Have" Qualifications

- AWS Experience: Familiarity with cloud services like AWS (e.g., CloudWatch logs, S3, EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS) to monitor test environments or run cloud-based automation pipelines.
- Containerization: Basic understanding of Docker for running test environments locally or in CI/CD pipelines.
- Performance Testing: Exposure to load or performance testing tools (e.g., Locust, JMeter).
