About PplSync

PplSync is a bootstrapped HRMS product built for Indian SMEs of 50 to 500 employees - face recognition attendance, shift and overtime payroll, and live tracking for field staff. Around 50 companies and 1,500+ employees run on the platform today. Small team, real users, and every release goes straight into production use.

Role and responsibilities

You will own backend services end to end - design, build, ship, and then live with what you shipped. This is not a ticket queue. You will be in the room when we decide what to build, and on the call when something breaks at 9am on salary day.

What you will work on

- REST APIs in FastAPI and Flask that the web platform and the mobile app run on
- Attendance and payroll processing: shifts, overtime, regularisation, multi-branch rules
- Background jobs, scheduled processing, and integrations with third party systems and devices
- Query and performance work as the data grows
- Tests, code review, and owning your own deployments alongside the DevOps lead

Preferred candidate profile





- 2 to 4 years of hands-on Python, in a product company
- Production experience with FastAPI and Flask, not tutorials or side projects
- Solid SQL, schema design and migrations
- Someone who can say what they built, what they decided, and what broke afterwards

Who this role is not for

We are not hiring from an IT services, consulting or staffing background for this position. If your experience is client projects billed to an external customer, this will not be a fit - not because that work is easier, but because this role needs someone used to owning a product with real users and living with the consequences of their own decisions.

Location and working days

Work from office at Koramangala, Bengaluru. Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays working.

Compensation

Rs 7,00,000 to Rs 10,00,000 per year, depending on what you have actually built.
