Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase & Vendor Manager with an engineering background and strong experience in procurement, vendor management, and purchase operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete purchase cycle for alcohol manufacturing, plant operations, maintenance, construction, and real-estate projects.

The role requires someone who can identify reliable vendors, negotiate commercial terms, control costs, ensure timely material availability, and coordinate closely with the plant, projects, accounts, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for plant, projects, maintenance, construction, and office requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and continuously develop new vendor sources.
- Monitor material quality, quantity, pricing, delivery, and vendor performance.
- Coordinate with plant and project teams to understand material and equipment requirements.
- Procure engineering items such as machinery, spare parts, electrical items, pumps, pipes, fittings, fabrication materials, tools, safety equipment, and maintenance materials.
- Handle procurement related to construction, civil work, interiors, infrastructure, and real-estate projects.
- Coordinate with Accounts for vendor payments, outstanding issues, invoices, and documentation.
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor databases,



quotation comparisons, PO records, and procurement MIS.
- Track pending orders and follow up with vendors to avoid delays in plant operations or projects.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, better quality, and improved procurement processes.
- Ensure purchases are made as per approved budgets and management requirements.
- Visit vendors, plant sites, project locations, and markets whenever required.
- Report purchase status, pending requirements, major negotiations, and cost-saving opportunities directly to the MD.

Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech is mandatory, preferably Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, Vendor Management, or Commercial Operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, distillery/alcohol industry, construction, infrastructure, or real estate will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good understanding of engineering materials, machinery, spares, construction materials, and general procurement.
- Ability to independently handle multiple purchase requirements and vendors.
- Valuable communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Strong commercial understanding with the ability to compare quotations and negotiate effectively.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and purchase/procurement documentation.
- Willingness to travel to plant, vendor, and project locations as required.
- Should be proactive, responsible, and comfortable working directly with senior management.

What We Expect The ideal candidate should be able to independently manage procurement from requirement to delivery, maintain robust vendor relationships, negotiate effectively, and ensure that materials and services are available on time without compromising on quality or cost.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
