Role Description The Purchase Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This position is responsible for end-to-end procurement of materials, fixtures, furnishings, and services required for interior projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, raising purchase orders, and tracking deliveries against project timelines.

The role involves close coordination with project managers, site supervisors, and design teams to understand material specifications, forecast requirements, and maintain optimal inventory levels.





The Purchase

Manager also monitors vendor performance, maintains accurate purchase records, ensures compliance with company policies, and supports cost control and budgeting efforts.

Qualifications

- Strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier identification, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in materials management for interior design, construction, or fit-out projects, with understanding of relevant products and finishes.
- Ability to interpret project drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications to determine accurate purchasing requirements.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and basic ERP or procurement software for purchase orders, tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Solid organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Civil/Interior Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a purchase or sourcing role within interior contracting, architecture, or construction is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of taxation, billing, and compliance processes related to procurement in India.
- Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
