Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD) shared by the design/engineering team for identifying material requirements.
- Float enquiries to suppliers, collect quotations, and prepare comparison sheets for approval.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely material delivery.
- Evaluate and onboard new vendors as per company standards.
- Coordinate with production, design, and stores departments for smooth material flow.
- Maintain stock records, GRN entries, and purchase documentation for audits.
- Negotiate with vendors for best prices, lead times, and payment terms.
- Track and report purchase status, pending orders, and cost-saving measures.
- Support development and sourcing of rubber components, moulds, and consumables.
- Ensure adherence to companys quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Robust understanding of engineering components and technical drawings.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of material types used in rubber and manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (for reading and basic editing of drawings).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
- Team coordination and supplier relationship management.
