Role Description The Proprietor is a full time, on-site leadership role based in Bhagalpur, responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations and project activities. This includes supervising construction projects, managing site staff and subcontractors, monitoring budgets and timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Proprietor will handle client communication, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with vendors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Daily responsibilities also include reviewing work progress, resolving operational issues, approving key expenditures, and maintaining accurate records and reports.



The role requires strategic decision-making to grow the business, improve efficiency, and uphold the company’s reputation in the local market.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in construction or infrastructure project management, including site supervision and contractor coordination.
- Strong business and financial management skills, such as budgeting, cost control, and basic accounting for small to mid-sized operations.
- Proficiency in stakeholder and client management, with the ability to negotiate contracts, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards applicable to construction projects, and ability to implement compliant practices.
- Effective leadership, team management, and decision-making skills, with a focus on integrity and accountable operations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages as appropriate for Bhagalpur.
- Comfort with using digital tools (email, spreadsheets, project tracking software) for planning, documentation, and reporting.
- Preferred: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
