Role Description The Prosthetist & Orthotist is responsible for assessing patients’ mobility needs, performing detailed evaluations, and designing appropriate prosthetic and orthotic solutions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting clinical examinations, interpreting gait analysis data, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to optimize device fit and function. The role involves guiding patients through fitting, alignment, and adjustment processes, educating them on device use and maintenance, and monitoring ongoing outcomes to make necessary modifications.

Documentation of patient progress, adherence to clinical standards,



and coordination with healthcare professionals are integral parts of the job. This is a full-time remote role, requiring effective virtual communication and occasional coordination with local clinical partners or facilities.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical expertise in Prosthetics and Orthotics, with the ability to design, fit, and adjust lower-limb devices.
- Proficiency in Gait Analysis and functional assessments to inform device design and alignment.
- Demonstrated skills in Patient Care, including thorough assessment, counseling, and follow-up support.
- Foundational knowledge of Medicine relevant to musculoskeletal health, rehabilitation, and mobility impairments.
- Relevant certification or licensure as a Prosthetist & Orthotist (e.g., ABC, BOC, or equivalent), where applicable.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in prosthetics and orthotics, rehabilitation science, or a closely related field.
- Comfort working remotely with digital tools, electronic health records, and telehealth platforms.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and patient safety.
- Experience or interest in technology-driven solutions such as 3D printing, CAD/CAM, or data-driven device design is a plus.
