4. Reporting To: Project Head / GM – Projects

5. Experience Required: 8–14 years in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy project execution, including direct, independent handling of at least 3–5 complete C&I; rooftop or ground-mounted projects from mobilization to handover.

6. Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with strong preference for demonstrated site-execution and project-management experience over purely design/office experience.

7. Job Summary: The Solar Project Manager independently owns execution of one or more assigned C&I; rooftop, industrial rooftop or ground-mounted solar EPC projects — coordinating engineering, procurement, site manpower, contractors and client communication from mobilization through testing, commissioning and O&M; handover — while managing schedule, quality, safety and cost at the project level.

8. Key Responsibilities:

- Convert the approved design and BOQ into a practical, resourced project execution plan (WBS, schedule, manpower plan).
- Coordinate day-to-day site execution: civil/structural work, module installation, DC/AC electrical works, HT works, cable laying, earthing, lightning protection and SCADA/monitoring installation.
- Manage on-site contractors, supervisors and technicians; plan and adjust manpower against progress.
- Track and control material — raise requirements, coordinate with procurement, reconcile site inventory, and flag shortages before they impact schedule.
- Prepare and submit DPR, weekly progress reports and monthly MIS to the Project Head.
- Lead pre-commissioning checks, testing, commissioning, grid synchronization coordination and performance testing for assigned projects.
- Coordinate DISCOM/net-metering/grid-interconnection and other statutory processes applicable to the project, escalating to the Project Head where needed.
- Manage client communication at the project level — progress updates, site inspections, query resolution.
- Own quality (ITPs, inspections) and safety (permits, PPE, toolbox talks) compliance on assigned sites.
- Close punch-points/snags and complete handover documentation for client sign-off.
- Coordinate a smooth O&M; transition, including spares and training handover.




- Manage RA bill preparation, quantity measurement and material reconciliation for assigned projects.

9. Technical Competencies: Independent working knowledge of solar PV system engineering and full EPC execution sequence for C&I; rooftop, industrial rooftop and ground-mounted projects, sufficient to run a project site without daily hand-holding from the Project Head. 10. Solar EPC Expertise: Hands-on execution experience across module/inverter installation, DC and AC systems, LT/HT works, transformer/RMU coordination, and SCADA/monitoring commissioning; comfortable independently handling both C&I; rooftop and ground-mounted project types.

11. Design & Software Skills:

- PVsyst: Able to read and interpret a PVsyst report to cross-check field generation performance and identify likely causes of shortfall (soiling, shading, string faults, inverter clipping).
- AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical: Able to read SLDs, layout and cable-routing drawings fluently and flag field-vs-drawing discrepancies to the design team.
- PVcase/HelioScope or equivalent: Working familiarity to cross-check layout and stringing against issued drawings during installation.
- MS Excel (Advanced): Must personally maintain project trackers — material tracker, manpower tracker, BOQ tracker, cost tracker and progress MIS — using formulas and pivot tables.
- MS Project/Primavera or equivalent: Able to build and update a project-level schedule and track critical path.
- ERP/PM software: Working proficiency in the company's chosen project-tracking/ERP system.

12. Electrical Engineering Skills: Solid working knowledge of DC/AC cable sizing and voltage-drop calculations, string/inverter sizing logic, LT/HT panel arrangement, protection systems, earthing system design, lightning protection and SPD selection — sufficient to supervise installation and catch execution errors on site. 13. Project Management Skills: Solid command of project scheduling, milestone tracking, manpower and resource planning, subcontractor coordination,



DPR/MIS reporting, RA bill verification, quantity measurement, material reconciliation and punch-point/snag closure at the project level.

14. Procurement/BOM/BOQ Skills: Able to prepare and verify project-level BOM/BOQ (DC, AC, HT/LT material, structural steel, civil material), coordinate with procurement on lead times, and manage vendor/site material reconciliation to avoid delays.

15. Commissioning Skills: Independently capable of leading pre-commissioning, testing (IR, string testing, earthing testing), commissioning and grid synchronization coordination for C&I; rooftop and ground-mounted projects, escalating only complex/high-risk HT issues.

16. O&M; Knowledge: Working understanding of preventive/breakdown maintenance, generation/PR/CUF monitoring, fault diagnosis basics and handover documentation requirements to enable a clean O&M; transition.

17. Liaisoning / Approval Coordination: Hands-on experience coordinating with DISCOM, net-metering and grid-interconnection processes, and Electrical Inspector/CEIG as applicable to the project's state and category, escalating to the Project Head where authority-level intervention is needed. Verify current state/utility-specific process before evaluating this experience.

18. Team Management & Hiring: Manages on-site supervisors, technicians and contractor manpower; provides input to the Project Head on site staffing needs; responsible for day-to-day work allocation, productivity and discipline on site.

19. Safety & Quality Responsibilities: Owns project-level HSE (work permits, LOTO, PPE, working-at-height controls, toolbox talks) and QA/QC (ITPs, inspections, method-statement compliance) for assigned sites. Applicable codes/standards to be confirmed per project and client specification.

20. Required Soft Skills: Strong on-ground problem-solving and decision-making, client-facing communication, contractor/vendor negotiation, time management under schedule pressure, and willingness to be based at or travel frequently to project sites.
