We are seeking an experienced Project Controls & Scheduling Manager to join our Hyderabad team and support the continued development of our Project Controls capabilities across NYC based projects.

Role OverviewThe Project Controls & Scheduling Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing project schedules while supporting broader project controls activities including progress measurement, cost monitoring, forecasting, Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule risk analysis, and management reporting.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong proficiency in Primavera P6, a solid understanding of construction project delivery, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Prepare baseline schedules aligned with project scope, contractual milestones, deliverables, and execution requirements.
- Develop appropriate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity coding structures, calendars, and schedule hierarchies.
- Develop integrated schedules covering design/engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
- Monitor project progress and regularly update schedules to reflect actual project status.
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and monitor critical and near-critical activities.
- Identify schedule deviations and analyze impacts on project milestones and completion dates.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and rolling look-ahead schedules to support project execution.
- Coordinate with engineering/design, procurement, construction, project management, contractors, and other stakeholders to obtain and validate schedule inputs.
- Review contractor and subcontractor schedules and validate reported progress.




- Develop and review recovery schedules and mitigation plans for delayed or at-risk activities.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and identify potential constraints, delays, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure project and discipline schedules are properly integrated into the Project Master Schedule.
- Support resource planning, manpower forecasting, and allocation based on project schedules.
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules where required.
- Support cost control by aligning project schedules with budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and progress measurement.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and support monitoring of SPI, CPI, planned versus actual progress, and other project performance indicators.
- Prepare S-curves, progress reports, schedule variance reports, critical activity reports, dashboards, and MIS reports.
- Utilize Power BI and Excel to support project analytics, reporting, and management dashboards.
- Support change management and evaluation of schedule impacts resulting from scope or project changes.
- Support Time Impact Analysis (TIA), delay analysis, and schedule impact assessments where required.
- Review schedules and Project Controls deliverables prepared by other team members and provide technical guidance.
- Support the development and implementation of standardized Project Controls and Scheduling procedures, templates, and reporting systems.
- Coordinate directly with international project teams and clients and participate in project progress and schedule review meetings.
- Support and mentor junior Planning, Scheduling, and Project Controls team members.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in Project Controls, Planning, or Scheduling within construction, infrastructure, engineering, EPC, or project management environments.




- Strong hands-on proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Valuable working knowledge of MS Project, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, baseline development, schedule updating, critical path analysis, progress measurement, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with resource-loaded and/or cost-loaded schedules.
- Understanding of cost control and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and project performance reporting is preferred.
- Understanding of the design/engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with international project teams and clients.

Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting rail, transit, or major transportation infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Experience working on Design-Build projects is highly desirable.
- Experience developing integrated Design-Build schedules incorporating design development, design reviews/approvals, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
- Experience reviewing contractor/subcontractor schedules, progress updates, recovery schedules, and progress claims.
- Exposure to Time Impact Analysis (TIA), delay analysis, change management, and schedule risk analysis is advantageous.
- Familiarity with transportation/rail projects is advantageous.
- Experience supporting U.S., Middle East, or UK projects through an international or remote delivery model is preferred.
- PMP, PMI-SP, AACE PSP/CCP, or similar certification is an advantage.

What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a hands-on Project Controls professional who can independently develop and review Primavera P6 schedules, understand project performance, identify schedule risks and variances, and communicate findings clearly to project teams and management. The successful candidate should also be comfortable guiding junior team members, coordinating with international stakeholders, and helping MEICON strengthen and standardize its Project Controls & Scheduling capabilities as the organization continues to grow.
