Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities for rice mill machinery and related industrial equipment. The person will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining quality, safety, productivity, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, welding, fitting, material handling, and shop-floor production processes, with the ability to effectively manage operators and workmen.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily production activities according to production schedules and delivery requirements.
- Allocate manpower, machines, materials, and work orders effectively.
- Monitor production of rice mill machinery such as conveyors, elevators, graders, cleaners, polishers, huskers, de-stoners, dryers, and related equipment.
- Supervise fabrication, welding, cutting, drilling, machining, fitting, painting, and assembly activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time and cost.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with the Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize scrap, rework, and production losses.
- Inspect work in progress and coordinate with the Quality team to ensure products meet specifications.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
- Maintain daily production reports, manpower records, machine utilization, rejection/rework data, and material consumption records.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 5S on the shop floor.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
- Train, guide, and motivate operators, welders, fitters, and other production personnel.




- Monitor machine and equipment condition and coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure finished machinery is properly assembled, inspected, and prepared for testing and dispatch.
- Maintain discipline and good work practices among shop-floor employees.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial machinery production.
- Experience in fabrication, welding, machining, fitting, and mechanical assembly.
- Ability to understand mechanical drawings and BOMs.
- Good knowledge of shop-floor production planning and manpower management.
- Experience with MS Excel and basic production reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple production activities under delivery pressure.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and 5S.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on production professional who is comfortable working directly on the shop floor, managing a team of technicians and operators, solving manufacturing problems, and coordinating with different departments to meet production and delivery commitments. Salary: As per experience and industry standards

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
