Production Head – Ghaslet

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Department: Production & Quality

Reports To: Brand Manager – Ghaslet

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Purpose The Production Head will be responsible for managing the complete production process up to bottling, ensuring consistent product quality, hygiene, food safety, production efficiency, and adherence to defined processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan and schedule production as per monthly targets.
- Supervise day-to-day production activities and ensure all batch checklists are followed.
- Allocate work to the production/prep team and monitor completion.
- Maintain proper batch-wise production records.
- Coordinate with the Store team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.

2. Quality Control

- Conduct quality checks for every production batch and filled bottle.
- Ensure consistency in taste, colour, texture, quantity, sealing, and labelling.
- Identify and hold batches that do not meet quality standards.
- Monitor incoming raw material and packaging quality.
- Maintain shelf-life, sampling, and quality records.

3. Hygiene & Food Safety

- Maintain high standards of hygiene across the production area.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI and food-safety requirements.
- Maintain proper batch numbering, labelling, hygiene records, and documentation.
- Ensure all team members follow personal hygiene and secure food-handling practices.

4. Equipment & Vendor Management

- Coordinate with vendors for packaging, printing, machinery, and other production requirements.
- Support vendor evaluation and onboarding in coordination with the Brand Manager.
- Monitor machinery maintenance and servicing schedules.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes, equipment, layout, and efficiency.
- Support trials for new products, recipes, formats,



and packaging.

5. Team Management & Training

- Manage and allocate daily work across the production team.
- Train team members on production processes, quality standards, hygiene, and packaging methods.
- Ensure adequate manpower for planned production.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and checklists to ensure consistent operations.

6. Cost, Yield & Wastage Control

- Monitor production yield and wastage for every batch.
- Control raw material and packaging consumption.
- Identify recurring wastage and take corrective action.
- Suggest cost-saving opportunities in production, sourcing, and packaging.

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in food production, FMCG, packaged food, or commissary operations.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and food safety.
- Working knowledge of FSSAI requirements and batch documentation.
- Ability to lead and train a production team.
- Good knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for production and wastage tracking.
- Strong attention to detail, discipline, and ownership.
- Good vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under production targets and deadlines.

- Machinery uptime and maintenance compliance.

Role Success

Success in this role means ensuring every batch is produced to the required standard, production targets are achieved on time, hygiene and food-safety standards are consistently maintained, wastage is controlled, and the overall production process becomes more efficient and reliable as the business grows.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Surat, Gujarat
