Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Production Engineers to manage and improve day-to-day production activities and ensure smooth, efficient, and timely manufacturing of automotive components.

Candidates with hands-on experience in stamping, welding, machining, and heat treatment processes will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, monitor, and control daily production activities as per production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining required quality and delivery standards.
- Monitor manpower, machine utilization, material availability, and production output.
- Handle production processes including stamping, welding, machining, and heat treatment.
- Ensure machines and processes are operated according to work instructions, process parameters, and control plans.
- Monitor production line performance and identify bottlenecks and process losses.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Stores, and Planning teams to resolve production-related issues.
- Monitor and reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and production downtime.
- Ensure proper implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, downtime reports, and other production records.
- Monitor OEE, productivity, cycle time, and machine utilization.
- Ensure proper material flow and work-in-process management.




- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
- Support new product development, process trials, and production trials.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for machine breakdowns and ensure minimum production downtime.
- Ensure proper setup and changeover of machines and production lines.
- Monitor process parameters for heat treatment and other critical manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Train and guide operators and technicians on process requirements and safe working practices.
- Support internal, customer, and certification audits related to production.

Process Knowledge Required

Stamping

- Knowledge of press machines, dies, material feeding, process parameters, and production control.
- Experience in stamping defects and corrective actions.

Welding

- Knowledge of MIG / TIG / spot welding and welding process parameters.
- Experience in identifying and resolving common welding defects.
- Knowledge of robotic welding will be an advantage.

Machining

- Knowledge of CNC turning, machining, grinding, and related machining processes.
- Understanding of cycle time, tooling, tool life, and process optimization.





Heat Treatment

- Basic knowledge of heat treatment processes and process parameters.
- Understanding of furnace operation, temperature control, quenching, hardness requirements, and process inspection.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of automotive component manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and process documents.
- Knowledge of production planning and process control.
- Positive problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, TPM, OEE, and continuous improvement.
- Good manpower and shop-floor management skills.
- Ability to work under production targets and delivery schedules.
- Positive coordination skills with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Stores, and Planning departments.

Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or related discipline.
- 4–10 years of relevant production experience.
- Experience in automotive component manufacturing preferred.
- Hands-on experience in stamping, welding, machining, and heat treatment will be preferred.
