We're not hiring for a marketing manager. We're hiring for a product manager who can go deeper into a problem statement, understand what the customer actually needs, shape that into a clear offer and message, and then get it in front of buyers — through the website, collateral, and email — with a defined outcome of 35–50 MQLs/SQLs a month.
OneMetric is a software-plus-service company — service-heavy, but with real software and product components underneath (like CoverageAI and Suprdense). That mix is exactly why this role needs a product manager's instincts, not a marketer's. A product manager doesn't start with the copy — they start by going deep into the problem: talking to customers, understanding what they actually need, and shaping that understanding into an offer worth buying.
That's the job here, whether what we're packaging is closer to a service engagement or closer to a software tool. You're not documenting what OneMetric already says about itself. You're figuring out what the market needs, shaping how we package and present a solution for it, and making sure that story is airtight everywhere a buyer encounters us — website, one-pagers, email, sales decks.
- The offer itself. Working with delivery and leadership, you help define and sharpen what a given service or solution actually is, who it's for, and why it beats the alternative — not just repeat what's already being said.
- Positioning and messaging. The language that makes a business leader say "that's exactly my problem" — built from real research, not assumption.
- Go-to-market activation. Once an offer and message exist, you're the one who gets it live — on the website, in collateral, in email sequences — working closely with the marketing team to push it out everywhere it needs to be.
- The website as a shopfront. Structure, page inventory, and how our offers are presented and found — including how the site earns visibility through SEO and AEO.
- The MQL/SQL number. 35–50 MQLs/SQLs a month, generated organically from the website and the motions around it, is your number.
A sharp offer and message that nobody sees doesn't count — this has to convert into real pipeline.
- Talk to customers, prospects, sales, and delivery to understand the real problems being solved and what language actually resonates — not guess at it from a template.
- Take those insights and shape them into a defined, sellable offer: what it is, who it's for, what makes it different.
- Write the core positioning and messaging for that offer — the story that has to hold up whether it's read by a founder or a VP of Sales.
- Build and ship the pages, one-pagers, case studies, and email sequences that carry that message into the market.
- Work hand-in-hand with the marketing team to get each offer pushed out across the right channels, not just parked on one page.
- Apply SEO and AEO thinking so offers are actually discoverable — both in Google and by AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- Use AI tools (Claude and others) and Figma to move fast — quick mockups, drafts, and iterations instead of waiting on a full design cycle for every idea.
- Track what's converting and what's landing with the market, and keep sharpening the offer and message rather than treating either as fixed.
- Product-marketing instinct, applied to services. You think in terms of "what's the offer, who's it for, why do they buy" — not just "what copy goes on this page." Prior experience as a PMM, or in a role that required this kind of offer/positioning thinking, is exactly what we're after.
- Deep research ability. You get to the real problem by talking to customers and internal teams yourself, not by working off a brief someone else wrote.
- Robust writing that carries conviction. You can turn a well-understood problem into messaging a business leader believes, not generic B2B copy.
- A working understanding of SEO and AEO. You know how to structure and write content so it ranks in search and gets cited by AI answer engines.
- Website and CRO fluency. Comfortable with WordPress and HubSpot CMS, and you understand what converts on a page and what doesn't.
- A founder/CMO-level eye for B2B design, and the ability to work with a designer (or Figma yourself) to turn an idea into a real, live example fast.
- Comfort with ambiguity. We're a services business — our offers evolve by market and segment. You're comfortable shaping something that isn't fully defined yet, not just executing a fixed spec.
- 4–5 years of experience, ideally including time in product marketing, or in a B2B services/agency/consultancy environment where you had to build the story for a solution, not just market one that already existed.
- Ownership, not a task list. We don't hand you a checklist and check boxes. Direction and context get discussed openly, and then shaping the offer, the message, and the page is yours to run with.
- A performance-driven culture. Speed and results define your trajectory here, not tenure or face-time. Ship fast, see what moves the market, and that's what gets rewarded.
- Access to the top of the market. The offers and pages you build speak directly to CMOs, VPs of Sales, and founders across the B2B US market — real high-stakes positioning work, not busywork nobody reads.
Within a quarter: the offers you've shaped are the ones sales reaches for first because the message actually lands, MQLs/SQLs from the website and its motions are trending toward the 35–50/month range, and our positioning stops sounding like generic services-company language and starts sounding like something a buyer would repeat back to us. Reports into growth/marketing leadership at OneMetric, works closely with sales and delivery leads to source real offer insight, and partners with the marketing team and a designer (in-house or external) to take each offer from idea to a live, converting presence across the website, collateral, and email.
