Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing of direct materials used in tyre manufacturing.

- Identify, evaluate, develop, and negotiate with existing and potential suppliers.

- Obtain quotations, conduct commercial negotiations, and achieve cost-competitive procurement.

- Develop alternate/local sources to improve supply security and reduce procurement risks.

- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, supplier capacity, and raw-material availability.

- Ensure timely procurement as per production requirements and agreed inventory levels.

- Track supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.

- Support annual cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives.

- Prepare comparative statements, purchase recommendations, MIS, and sourcing reports.

- Resolve supplier-related issues concerning shortages, quality, delivery, pricing, and payment/commercial terms.





- Maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.

- Support audits and ensure procurement activities comply with internal processes and applicable standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- Valuable understanding of tyre manufacturing processes and raw materials.

- Knowledge of tyre-industry direct materials such as natural/synthetic rubber, carbon black, silica, chemicals, steel cord, bead wire, textile materials, and other tyre components will be preferred.

- Understanding of raw-material cost drivers, commodity-market movements, and supplier dynamics.

- Exposure to tyre/Rubber manufacturing companies or automotive component procurement will be highly advantageous.
