Role purpose

- The major role of the Process Engineer is to support process engineering activities related to technology development projects
- To support on-going process development and potential future projects, to improve manufacturing processes and plant for new and existing products
- Responsible for supporting new product introduction with respect to process
- Supports in preparation of basic engineering packages for new products
- Rigorously applies safe systems of work in daily plant operation and change control

- Able to apply mass & heat balances to process systems and analyse equipment performance quantitatively
- Carries out plant trials to optimise process performance

Accountabilities:

- Ensure to developing process design taking in account end-to-end manufacturing chain
- Ensure support design, scale up and sizing
- Ensure development of basic engineering package for new products

Evaluate customer process package to come up with asset requirement for production to prepare cost quotation.
- Ensure generation of P & ID, PFD, LFC, BD
- Ensure technical support to plant and contribution to resolve trouble shooting

- Ensure participation PRA, MOC and generation of technical document

Responsibilities:

- To Demonstrates a sound knowledge of all process unit operations,



together with their interactions across the processing plant and the manufacturing site, including utilities and infrastructure

- Focuses effort on the process bottleneck and applies the principles of lean manufacturing to drive process efficiency
- Designs, manages and evaluates plant trials to improve process performance
- Utilize past learning and experience in the troubleshooting, diagnosis and correction of faults on production equipment and processes.

- Monitor PHS studies, review reports, extract knowledge of Basis of safety for designing engieering controls and making process intrinsically safe
- Able to apply mass & heat balances to process systems and analyse equipment performance quantitatively
- Applies structured problem solving techniques to resolve more complex issues

- Has sufficient experience to identify potential hazards and is accomplished in using Process Risk Assessment and other risk tools to manage change

Critical knowledge
- Must have BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

- Appreciation of high process safety standards basic theoretical and practical experience.
- General applied equipment knowledge attained
- Thorough and practical knowledge of Process Technology Skills for plant design of equipment / basic project / work procedures

- Positive understanding of process chemistry related to chemical processes
