We are building a multidisciplinary engineering team capable of supporting projects from concept and process design through FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.

Role Description

Position: Process Design Engineer – Oil & Gas / EPC

Location: Kochi, Kerala

Employment: Full-time | In office

Experience: 5–8 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering The Process Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and reviewing process engineering deliverables for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and EPC projects.

The role requires hands-on experience in PFD and P&ID; development, process simulation, Heat & Material Balance, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, process datasheets, and FEED/Detailed Engineering.

The engineer will work closely with Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines while ensuring compliance with applicable project specifications, codes, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Development and review of PFDs and P&IDs;
- Preparation of Heat & Material Balance (H&MB;)
- Process simulation and process calculations
- Equipment sizing and specification




- Hydraulic calculations and line sizing
- Preparation of process and equipment datasheets
- Process inputs and sizing data for control valves, PSVs, and instrumentation
- Development of Process Design Basis and Control Philosophy
- Preparation and review of Line Lists and process documentation
- Participation in HAZOP, SIL, and multidisciplinary design reviews
- Coordination with Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines
- Technical support for tendering and proposal activities
- Support for FEED and Detailed Engineering projects
- Technical support during commissioning and troubleshooting, when required

Preferred Skills & Experience

- 5–8 years of relevant process design experience, preferably with an EPC company or engineering consultancy
- Strong hands-on experience in PFD and P&ID; development
- Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery projects
- Working knowledge of Aspen HYSYS / UniSim preferred
- Familiarity with API, ASME, and applicable international standards
- Understanding of process safety and HAZOP / SIL studies
- Strong multidisciplinary engineering coordination skills
- Ability to independently execute and deliver process engineering packages

We are particularly interested in engineers with hands-on EPC design experience who can take a project from process inputs / PFD through detailed P&IDs; and associated process engineering deliverables.
