Overview

You’ll join Gallagher Re’s Rating Agency Advisory team and help turn financial, capital and market data into clear advice. Your work will support rating outcomes, capital planning and balance sheet decisions.

You’ll work with colleagues across broking, actuarial, analytics and capital advisory. You’ll also support senior clients and help shape materials for rating agency conversations. The role suits someone who likes careful analysis, clear thinking and practical problem-solving.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You’ll analyse (re)insurers’ financial performance, capital adequacy, profitability, liquidity, leverage and credit risk. You’ll build and maintain rating agency capital models, forecasts, budgets, stress tests and sensitivity analysis. You’ll use these to support FP&A; work and wider planning. You’ll also look at the impact of capital actions, reinsurance structures,



strategy changes and rating methodology updates. You’ll turn complex data, including IFRS 17 reporting, into transparent summaries, presentations and recommendations for senior leaders. You’ll prepare analytical material for rating agency meetings, support client discussions and help tell the story behind the numbers.

Alongside this, you’ll review junior analysts’ work, keep deliverables accurate, and help improve tools, automation and team methods. You’ll work across teams and time zones, so clear communication and steady follow-through will matter.

About You

Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:

- Experience in rating advisory, financial modelling, capital analysis, credit analysis or similar work in (re)insurance, a reinsurance intermediary, a rating agency or consulting.
- A finance background such as an MBA in Finance, CFA, or a similar qualification is preferred.
- Working knowledge of rating agency methods and capital models, ideally including AM Best, S&P; Global Ratings, Moody’s and Fitch.
- You can read insurance financial statements and work with statutory accounting, GAAP, IFRS and IFRS 17.
- You can build forecasts, budgets, variance analysis and management reports.




- You can use Excel and PowerPoint well.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL or Python would be useful.
- You can explain complex ideas clearly in writing, in meetings and in presentations.
- You can manage several tasks at once, keep close to detail and work well with colleagues across locations and teams.
- You can support and review the work of others.

About you

- MBA in Finance and/or CFA or similar professional certifications preferred.
- 7+ Years of relevant experience in rating advisory, financial modelling, capital analysis, credit analysis or related work at a (re)insurance company, reinsurance intermediary, rating agency or consulting firm.
