Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum and learning outcomes.

- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

- Teach age-appropriate grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction and language usage.

- Encourage students to develop a love for reading through stories, poems, books and classroom activities.

- Use cutting-edge and activity-based teaching methodologies to make learning interactive.

- Integrate technology and digital resources wherever appropriate.

- Conduct regular assessments to monitor students' academic progress.

- Maintain accurate records of students' performance, assessments and learning outcomes.

- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

- Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate remedial and enrichment support.

- Encourage students to participate in debates, storytelling, role plays, reading activities and other language-based events.

- Promote effective communication skills and confidence among students.

- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that respects individual learning needs.

- Maintain classroom discipline through positive and child-friendly approaches.

- Collaborate with grade-level teachers and coordinators for effective curriculum planning.

- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' progress professionally.

- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding academic development and classroom participation.





- Participate in school assemblies, celebrations, competitions and co-curricular activities.

- Contribute to school events, clubs and academic initiatives as required.

- Maintain classroom displays, student work and learning resources.

- Follow school policies, procedures and CBSE academic guidelines.

- Attend staff meetings, training programmes and professional development sessions.

- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters.

- Continuously upgrade subject knowledge and teaching practices.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English / English Literature or a relevant discipline.

- B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred as per school requirements.

- Knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and competency-based learning will be an advantage.

Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE/international school preferred.

- Freshers with strong communication skills and relevant qualifications may also be considered.
