Department: Tool Room

Designation: Tool Maker

Reporting To: Tool Room In-Charge

Job Purpose To manufacture, assemble, maintain, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as per drawings and production requirements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely availability.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manufacture, assemble, and maintain press tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as per engineering drawings.
- Operate tool room machines such as lathe, milling, grinding, drilling, and fitting machines.
- Carry out tool maintenance, correction, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality of tools using measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to address tool-related issues.




- Maintain tool room records, tool history cards, and maintenance logs.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain housekeeping in the tool room.

Skills & Competencies

- Valuable knowledge of tool making, fitting, and machining operations.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and tolerances.
- Basic understanding of quality and safety standards.
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making or relevant trade.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in tool room operations (progressive tools preferred).
- Salary is as per company standards and candidate
