Job Summary:

The Pre-Primary Associate Teacher supports the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning setting for young children. The teacher assists with classroom activities, child development, lesson implementation, classroom management, and communication with parents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead teacher in planning and conducting age-appropriate learning activities.
- Support children in developing social, emotional, language, cognitive, and motor skills.
- Conduct activities involving rhymes, stories, music, art, craft, games, and hands-on learning.
- Maintain a warm, safe, clean, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom routines such as arrival, departure, meals/snacks, and transitions.
- Observe children's behaviour, participation, and developmental progress and share observations with the lead teacher.
- Provide individual attention and support to children who need additional assistance.
- Encourage good habits, communication skills, cooperation, sharing, and independence.
- Assist in preparing teaching-learning materials, displays,



worksheets, and activity resources.
- Support the implementation of the school's curriculum and CBSE-aligned early-years practices.
- Maintain basic classroom records and assist with student assessments/documentation.
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff when required.
- Participate in school events, celebrations, workshops, and co-curricular activities.
- Follow all school policies related to child safety, hygiene, discipline, and safeguarding.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Graduate degree; NTT / Montessori / ECCE / D.El.Ed. qualification is an advantage.
- Experience working with pre-primary children is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the lead teacher and school team.
- Basic computer skills are desirable.
